Alabama’s football program has landed yet another commitment via the NCAA Transfer Portal.

On Saturday, former Washington Husky offensive lineman Parker Brailsford announced that he will be heading to Bama for the next chapter of his football career. This decision was made during an official visit with the Crimson Tide, which is the first and only visit that Brailsford took since entering the Transfer Portal earlier this week.

He is the second former Washington player to commit to Alabama this week. Quarterback Austin Mack announced on Thursday evening that he would be transferring to Bama after a lone season at Washington.

Brailsford could potentially stay in Tuscaloosa following his official visit as he is already enrolled at the school.

Brailsford, a Class of 2022 prospect, spent two years with Washington. He did not see any playing time during his freshman year, but won the Bob Jarvis Offensive Scout Squad MVP Award for his team that season.

This past season, Brailsford started all 15 games (first two at right guard), with the final 13 coming at center. He is a part of an offensive line group that won the Joe Moore Award in 2023. That award is given to the best offensive line in the nation. Washington’s offensive line only allowed 12 sacks in 15 games this season, the fifth-least in the country.

Brailsford’s accolades this past season were 2023 All-Pac-12 Second Team, 2023 Freshman All-America First Team (College Football Network, College Football News, PFF, AFCA, FWAA), and also 2023 Shaun Alexander Award Semifinalist.

As a high school prospect, Brailsford played for Saguaro High School in Scottsdale (Az.). He checked in as a three-star recruit and the No. 6 player in the state of Arizona in his class. He was the No. 501 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
