Following its loss to No. 1 Auburn at home on Saturday, Alabama dropped in the newest AP Poll from No. 2 to No. 4.

Despite the drop in the polls, the loss didn’t overly hurt Alabama’s chances at earning a top seed in the rapidly-approaching NCAA Tournament. The Crimson Tide was listed as the No. 2 overall seed during Saturday’s bracket preview from the selection committee, and multiple bracketologists still have the Crimson Tide at No. 2 overall even after the loss.

The SEC is continuing its dominance in the polls this season, boasting nine ranked teams, with Alabama now the third-highest ranked team in the league. Ranked SEC teams include No. 1 Auburn, No. 2 Florida, No. 4 Alabama, No. 6 Tennessee, No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 15 Missouri, No. 17 Kentucky, No. 21 Mississippi State and No. 24 Ole Miss.

All six of the Tide’s remaining opponents are ranked in the top 25, including this week’s road game against Missouri on Wednesday and home game against Kentucky on Saturday.
