The final AP Poll before the start of the NCAA Tournament came out on Monday afternoon, with Alabama dropping two spots from No. 5 to No. 7.

The drop comes after the Crimson Tide went 1-1 in the SEC Tournament in Nashville this past week, beating then-No. 15 Kentucky by 29 points in Friday’s quarterfinal round and following it up with a 22-point loss to then-No. 3 Florida in the semifinals.

Alabama received a 2-seed as the No. 6 overall team in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, being placed in the East Region. Ranked teams in the Tide’s region include No. 1 Duke (1-seed), No. 13 Wisconsin (3-seed), No. 17 BYU (6-seed), No. 20 Saint Mary’s (7-seed), No. 21 Arizona (4-seed) and No. 25 Oregon (5-seed).

Alabama’s first round game in the tournament will take place in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday against 15-seed Robert Morris. The game will tip off at 11:40 a.m. CT on truTV.
