Two Alabama Crimson Tide players were named to the 2024 Sporting News College Football All-America Team, the organization announced on Wednesday morning.

While no Alabama player was tabbed as a first-team All-American, offensive linemen Tyler Booker and safety Malachi Moore earned second-team nods. It marks the fifth second-team selection for Booker, while Moore received his third second-team honor of the postseason.

Sporting News is one of five outlets that determine consensus All-American status, along with the Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, Football Writers Association of America and Walter Camp. If three select a player for their first team, he earns consensus honors. If a player is named by all five, he is then a unanimous selection.

With no player being a first-team All-American by the AP, AFCA, FWAA, Sporting News or Walter Camp, Alabama won’t have a consensus All-American for the first time since 2019.
