Alabama’s 2025 A-Day Game is set to kick off at noon CT, the university’s NIL collective announced on Friday. The Crimson Tide revealed last month that its annual spring football game at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa would take place on Saturday, April 12.

There will be no live broadcast of the event, per Alabama. It will once again be free for fans.

A lot of eyes will be on Tuscaloosa, Alabama as Year 2 of the Kalen DeBoer era begins, and the Crimson Tide football team will look a little different than what we saw on New Year’s Eve.

A total of 34 players from the 2024 roster, either via the NFL draft or the NCAA transfer portal, have left the UA football program. Alabama also signed 21 new players from the high school and junior college ranks as part of its No. 2 recruiting class. In addition to that, seven transfers have been added to the Tide’s roster to push for immediate playing time.

Alabama will be looking for a new starting quarterback, as well, with Jalen Milroe declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. However, the Crimson Tide only lost three underclassmen to the draft, as 11 draft-eligible players chose to pass on turning pro and return for one more year.

There is plenty of talent, both experienced and unproven, for DeBoer and his coaching staff to work with this offseason. Alabama fans will get their first look at the new team on April 12 in what will be a “modified” version of the spring game, DeBoer recently told On3.

“A lot of times here, the A-Day Game, it’s been more of a practice, and there’s been some scrimmaging, not necessarily much of a game,” DeBoer said. “Even when I was at Fresno State, we called it the spring preview. Especially this year, there’s some things we’re working through with some injuries and so forth. So it’ll definitely be modified.

“We want to try to have some type of event around April 12.”

Alabama will hold its first of 15 spring practices on Monday, March 3.
