Offense
WR Ja’Corey Brooks: Paced Alabama in receptions (6), receiving yards (117) and receiving touchdowns (2) on a team-leading eight targets. Found the end zone from 21 and 34 yards away to score his first two touchdowns of the season. The receiving yards and touchdowns were both career-highs. Meanwhile, the catches also matched a career-high.
RB Jahmyr Gibbs: Totaled 64 yards (21 rushing, 43 receiving) and a touchdown on only six touches. Proved to be difficult to tackle, creating a lot of that receiving yardage after the catch (40). Continues to maximize opportunites as a useful chess piece for the offense.
OT Tyler Steen: Helped lead a Crimson Tide offensive line that churned out 628 total yards of offense (400 passing, 228 rushing). Totaled three knockdown blocks against Vanderbilt, his former team. Did not allow a sack, quarterback pressure or quarterback hit on the night.
QB Bryce Young: Threw for a season-high 385 yards and four touchdowns across just nine offensive drives. Completed 69.4% of his 36 pass attempts, most of which came in the first half. Also added a six-yard run to bring his game total to 291 yards. Was also able to connect on multiple deep passes.
Defense
LB Will Anderson: Finished with five tackles against the Commodores. Also recorded a team-high 2.5 sacks (-16 yards) to bring his season total to 4.5. Three of his five tackles went for a loss, causing constant disruption and headaches for Vanderbilt’s offense.
