After climbing back to No. 1 just a week ago, Alabama (6-0, 3-0 SEC) has dropped down to No. 3 in the latest AP Poll following the team’s narrow 24-20 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday night. The Crimson Tide were 24-point favorites going in, but four turnovers helped the Aggies keep it close.

Georgia is the team that took Alabama’s place at No. 1 after beating Auburn 42-10. Obviously with the drop to No. 3, the Bulldogs weren’t the only team to jump the Crimson Tide. Ohio State did too after a four-plus touchdown victory over Michigan State.

Now, Alabama will turn its attention to Tennessee, who climbed two spots from No. 8 to No. 6 after beating a top-25 LSU squad 40-13 on Saturday. This means the Third Saturday in October will include two top-6 teams facing off against one another. When’s the last time that’s happened?
