AUBURN, Ala. – No. 8 Alabama (10-1, 7-0 SEC) will play on the road at Auburn (6-5, 3-4) today to close out the regular season. The Crimson Tide and Tigers will face off at Jordan-Hare Stadium, and the Iron Bowl rivalry game is set to kick at 2:39 p.m. CT on CBS.

Alabama and Auburn will meet for the 88th time in Iron Bowl history when the two teams close out the regular season slate today. The Crimson Tide owns a 49-37-1 all-time advantage in the series, which is the oldest in program history, dating back to 1893. Saturday’s matchup will be just the 17th overall pairing on the Plains, with the Tigers holding a 10-6 advantage on their campus.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban is 13-8 all-time against AU, including an 11-5 mark with the Crimson Tide. Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze is 2-3 for his career against UA with all five matchups coming during his time at Ole Miss.

PREGAME

— The officiating crew for Alabama-Auburn will be led by Jason Autrey.

— Nick Saban to CTSN on Deontae Lawson and Jaylen Key: “I think they practiced enough and well enough that we think they should be able to play in the game.”

— Deontae Lawson (ankle), Jaylen Key (quad) and Kobe Prentice (hamstring) are all in uniform and going through pregame drills.

— Kool-Aid McKinstry is back deep to field the final punt of warmups before Alabama exits the field.

— Auburn wins the toss and elects to receive the opening kickoff.

FIRST QUARTER

— Deontae Lawson (ankle) and Jaylen Key (quad) start the Iron Bowl after missing the last two games.

— Alabama playing Jaylen Key and Malachi Moore at safety and Caleb Downs at Star on its first drive.

— Caleb Downs is back deep to return Auburn’s first punt of the game.

— Back-to-back first downs for UA to open the game. Jase McClellan ripped off an 11-yard run on the first offensive play, and Jalen Milroe hit Jermaine Burton for a 10-yard pickup. Tide at the AU 48.

— On 3rd and 17, Jalen Milroe finds Malik Benson for a 33-yard gain down to the Auburn 22-yard line.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 7, Auburn 0 (10:53)

— Roydell Williams gets Alabama on the board with a 2-yard score, his fourth of 2023.

— Auburn goes three-and-out again and will punt from its own 9. Fans are still booing after no facemask.

— Alabama goes for it on 4th and 1 at the Auburn 40, and Kendrick Law scores. But there was a flag. The Tide will now punt at midfield.

— Jarquez Hunter breaks free for a 42-yard gain to the Alabama 15.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 7, Auburn 7 (5:00)

— Damari Alston ties the ballgame with a 4-yard score.

— Jalen Milroe moves the chains with 16- and 18-yard passes to Isaiah Bond and Jermaine Burton. Tide is now at the Tigers’ 36-yard line.

SECOND QUARTER

— Jalen Milroe hits Amari Niblack in the end zone, but he was past the line of scrimmage. After the flag, which results in a loss of down, Alabama will attempt a field goal.

FIELD GOAL: Alabama 10, Auburn 7 (14:09)

— Will Reichard boots a 32-yarder through the uprights.

— Dallas Turner drops Damari Alston for a 6-yard loss, bringing up 2nd and Long at the Crimson Tide’s 43. Justin Eboigbe follows that up with a sack of Payton Thorne to bring up 3rd and 21 for the Tigers.

— On 3rd and 6 at its own 5, Jalen Milroe connects with Amari Niblack for a first down. After a review, the call on the field stands.

— Jalen Milroe’s pass to Isaiah Bond is broken up, and Alabama will punt from its own 30 with 3:41 left to play in the second quarter.

— Dallas Turner just asked to leave the game and is going into the medical tent.

— Damari Alston rips off a 56-yard run, and a Jaylen Key face mask gives Auburn the ball at the UA 12.

TOUCHDOWN: Auburn 14, Alabama 10 (2:24)

— Ja’Varrius Johnson gives AU the lead on a 12-yard run.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 17, Auburn 14 (1:33)

— Jalen Milroe finds Jermaine Burton for a 68-yard TD to retake the lead over Auburn.

— Deontae Lawson trips up Payton Thorne for a sack, and Auburn will punt from its own 24 with 0:59 to play in the 1H. Timeout, Alabama.

— Payton Thorne picks up 19 yards with his legs, reaching the Tigers’ 49, and Auburn calls a timeout. There’s 0:11 left in the first half.

— Terrion Arnold picks off Payton Thorne’s Hail Mary shot to the end zone as the second quarter ends.

THIRD QUARTER

— Jalen Milroe with a nice ball to Amari Niblack for an 18-yard gain down to the Crimson Tide’s 43.

— Jalen Milroe takes off on 3rd and 3 and picks up 14 to the Tigers’ 26.

— Roydell Williams with some tough yards, 11 for the senior, to move Alabama inside of the Tigers’ 10.

— Will Reichard boots a 23-yarder through the uprights.

— Payton Thorne hits Ja’Varrius Johnson over the middle for a 37-yard gain to the Alabama 31.

TOUCHDOWN: Auburn 21, Alabama 20 (6:36)

— Payton Thorne hits an open Ja’Varrius Johnson for 27 yards to take a third-quarter lead.

— Jalen Milroe rolls out to his right, stays in bounds and picks up 37 yards down to the Auburn 38.

— On 3rd and 3 at the AU 15, Jalen Milroe takes off to move the sticks. But UA is flagged for a blindside block to bring up 3rd and 12.

— Will Reichard misses a 42-yard field goal attempt. Auburn will take over at its own 24-yard line.

FOURTH QUARTER

— On 4th and 2 at the Alabama 28, Auburn elects to go for it, but the Tide is flagged for offsides. Fresh set of downs for the Tigers.

— Caleb Downs with a nice TFL to bring up 2nd and 17 for Auburn.

— Payton Thorne keeps it for a 22-yard gain down to the Alabama 8.

FIELD GOAL: Auburn 24, Alabama 20 (10:15)

— Alex McPherson adds to the Tigers lead on a 21-yard kick.

— After a review, Jermaine Burton is ruled out of bounds, and Alabama will punt the ball with 9:20 left.

— On 3rd and 9 at the Auburn 36, the UA defense comes up with a sack. Big stop with under seven top go.

— On 3rd and 4 at his own 24, Jalen Milroe is tripped up but gets rid of it. Alabama will punt with 4:58 left.

— A huge break. Jihaad Campbell recovers a muffed Auburn punt, and Alabama takes over at the Tigers’ 30.

— Jalen Milroe is sacked for a 9-yard loss to bring up 3rd and 20 at the Auburn 20. Three minutes to play.

— Jalen Milroe takes off for a 20-yard gain to bring up 4th and 1 at AU 10.

— On 4th and 1 at the AU 10, UA goes with the Tush Push but Jalen Miroe tosses it to Roydell Williams for a 3-yard gain to move the chains.

— Bad snap slips by Jalen Milroe, who falls on it for an 18-yard loss. It’ll be 3rd and Goal from the AU 26.
