TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 8-ranked Alabama (7-1, 5-0 SEC) will host play to the No. 14 LSU Tigers (6-2, 4-1) this evening at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The highly-anticipated SEC West matchup between the Crimson Tide and Tigers is set to kick off at 6:45 p.m. CT on CBS.

Alabama and LSU will meet for the 88th time, with the Crimson Tide owning a 55-27-5 all-time advantage in the series, including a 14-8 mark at home. The series, which began in 1895, is the fourth-oldest in UA history. The two teams last met in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 6, 2021, with the Tide earning a 20-14 victory.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban is 12-6 for his career against LSU, including a 12-5 mark with the Crimson Tide. LSU head coach Brian Kelly is 1-2 against the Crimson Tide, including a 1-0 mark in Baton Rouge and an 0-2 record while at Notre Dame.

PREGAME

— Officiating crew for Alabama-LSU will be led by Daniel Gautreaux.

— Alabama’s captains vs. LSU: Deontae Lawson, Tyler Booker and Dallas Turner.

— Terrion Arnold (concussion) is back with the first-team defense during 7-on-7 drills. Deontae Lawson and Jihaad Campbell are the inside ‘backers. Trezmen Marshall (ribs) is warming up with the second unit.

— LSU wins the toss and elects to defer to the second half. Alabama will receive the opening kickoff.

FIRST QUARTER

— Kendrick Law lines up in the backfield beside Jalen Milroe and Jase McClellan on the first snap.

— Jalen Milroe is sacked on 3rd and 6 at the Alabama 44. UA will punt.

— Dallas Turner hit with a personal foul/hands to the face penalty, and the Tigers have it at their own 42.

TOUCHDOWN: LSU 7, Alabama 0 (9:46)

— Jayden Daniels hits a wide-open Malik Nabers (46 yards).

— Jam Miller in the backfield to start the Tide’s second offensive series.

— Jalen Milroe keeps it for an 11-yard gain and then hits Kobe Prentice for a 22-yard gain to the Tigers 23.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 7, LSU 7 (7:14)

— Jalen Milroe with a 23-yard run to tie the ballgame.

— Jayden Daniels sees a hole and breaks free for a 24-yard run to midfield.

— Jaylen Key stays down and is grabbing his left thigh. Trainers came out to check on him, and he gingerly walks off under his own power.

— On 4th and 1 at the Alabama 42, LSU goes for it and Malachi Moore breaks up the pass to give the ball back to the Crimson Tide offense.

— Nice pass pro by Jam Miller on that play, as Jalen Milroe hits Isaiah Bond for a 9-yard gain and first down.

— Jaylen Key is out of the tent and walking to the locker room with members of the UA training staff.

SECOND QUARTER

— Jayden Daniels evades the Alabama rush again, and the Tigers are at midfield after a 28-yard QB run.

— Justin Eboigbe rocks Jayden Daniels to force an LSU FG attempt.

— LSU’s Damian Ramos misses a 46-yard field goal, and Alabama will take over at its own 29. Huge play.

— Under pressure, Jalen Milroe somehow lobs the ball to Jase McClellan, who scampers for 42 yards down to the LSU 27-yard line.

— Will Reichard misses a 47-yard field goal, his first miss of the year. LSU will take over at its own 29.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 14, LSU 14 (3:09)

— Jayden Daniels with the 9-yard keeper to tie the game.

— Jalen Milroe floats a pass to Jam Miller on 3rd and 3, and the RB picks up 35 yards to the LSU 32.

— Jalen Milroe had Isaiah Bond wide open, but his pass sailed high. Alabama facing 2nd and 10 at the LSU 22 with 1:13 left in the 2Q.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 21, LSU 14 (1:01)

— Jalen Milroe with a hat trick in the first half. He gives Alabama the lead on a 21-yard run.

— Jayden Daniels takes off on 3rd and 9 and reaches the Alabama 29 on a 40-yard run. He’s up to 109 yards with 0:24 left in the first half.

— Aaron Anderson penalized for a blindside block, and Terrion Arnold stayed down following the hit. He’s up now and on the UA sideline.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 21, LSU 21 (0:05)

— Jayden Daniels hits WR Kyren Lacy to tie it (26 yards).

THIRD QUARTER

— Terrion Arnold is back on the field to begin the second half, but he is playing Star with Trey Amos at left corner. Malachi Moore is at safety.

— Hell of a catch by Malik Nabers (30 yards) to the Alabama 13. Malachi Moore had good coverage, but the Tigers are back in the red zone.

TOUCHDOWN: LSU 28, Alabama 21 (11:14)

— Josh Williams is initially stuffed, but he bounces outside for a 2-yard scoring run.

— Jalen Milroe keeps it for an 18-yard run down to the LSU 33-yard line.

— Roydell Williams with back-to-back nice runs (18 total yards), and the Tide is inside the red zone.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 28, LSU 28 (7:30)

— Roydell Williams ties things up on a 16-yard run.

— Will Reichard’s fourth PAT of the game gives him 500 career points. He’s just the fourth player in NCAA history to score 500 points and is tied with Montee Ball for the third-most in NCAA history.

— Deontae Lawson is on the bench getting checked out by trainers after he was slow to get up after a Jayden Daniels juke. Campbell and Marshall are in at inside ‘backer.

— LSU will punt for the first time tonight after a short pass on 3rd and 17. Kool-Aid McKinstry is back deep to return it.

— Announced in the press box: Jalen Milroe is the first Alabama QB to rush for four TDs in a single game.

— Deontae Lawson is back on the field after getting checked out by trainers.

FOURTH QUARTER

— Terrion Arnold intercepts a tipped pass, and UA will take over at the LSU 25. Huge play by the defense.

— Harold Perkins flagged for a horse-collar tackle, giving Alabama the ball at the LSU 10-yard line.

— Jase McClellan with a 10-yard run to go up two TDs.

— No Deontae Lawson again. He was slow to make his way off the field after the Arnold INT. Campbell and Marshall are the two inside ‘backers.

— Dallas Turner flagged for roughing the passer, and Jayden Daniels is still down after taking the hit.

— Deontae Lawson gingerly walking to the locker room with trainers.

— Garrett Nussmeier replaces Jayden Daniels for one play, but the LSU starter is now back in the game.

— Jayden Daniels is back in the tent, so Nussmeier is in at QB for LSU.

— Garrett Nussmeier’s third-down pass is incomplete. On 4th and 10, LSU lines up to go for it on its own 40, but a snap infraction leads the Tigers to punt for a second time.
