COLLEGE STATION, Texas. – No. 11 Alabama (4-1, 2-0 SEC) will play Texas A&M (4-1, 2-0) on the road in the Lone Star State this afternoon. The Crimson Tide and Aggies will face off at Kyle Field (102,733), and the SEC West battle is set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS.

Alabama and Texas A&M will square off for the 16th time in series history this afternoon. The Crimson Tide owns a 12-3 advantage in the series, including a 5-1 record in Bryan-College Station. The most recent matchup between the two SEC Western Division foes came on Oct. 8 of last season with Alabama earning a 24-20 win over the Aggies.

PREGAME

— NFL scouts with seats in the press box: Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, New York Giants (x2), Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and New England Patriots.

— Emmanuel Henderson (hip) made the trip to College Station and is warming up after missing the first five games of the 2023 season.

— Jermaine Burton (banged up) was moving well during early warmups. For those wondering, Jalen Milroe warmed up with no issues, too.

— Terrence Ferguson is in uniform and is snapping to Tyler Buchner in pregame warmups. The other three QB-center combos include:

Darrian Dalcourt, Ty Simpson
James Brockermeyer, Dylan Lonergan

— Deontae Lawson (ankle) is beside Trezmen Marshall in the middle of Alabama’s first-team defense in full-team drills to end warmups. Jermaine Burton was also one of the first receivers on the field for the Crimson Tide’s first offense.

— Alabama wins the toss and elects to defer to the second half. Texas A&M will receive the opening kickoff.

FIRST QUARTER

— A&M’s Max Johnson hits Moose Muhammad over the middle for a 31-yard gain to the Alabama 28.

— On 4th and 1, Texas A&M goes for it, but Max Johnson’s pass to his brother, Jake, falls incomplete. Alabama takes over at its own 19.

— Jermaine Burton starts the game after only playing nine snaps last week. Jaeden Roberts is at right guard in place of Darrian Dalcourt.

— Jalen Milroe rolls out and is sacked on third down. Alabama will punt from its own 15-yard line.

— Evan Stewart hauls in a 32-yard pass from Johnson to the UA 6.

FIELD GOAL: Texas A&M 3, Alabama 0 (5:34)

— Randy Bond boots a 22-yarder through the uprights.

— Jalen Milroe looks deep for Jermaine Burton, who hauls in a 45-yard pass at the A&M 25.

FIELD GOAL: Alabama 3, Texas A&M 3 (3:31)

— Will Reichard boots a 39-yarder through the uprights.

— Alabama defense forces a three-and-out, and A&M will punt for the first time today, from its own 27.

SECOND QUARTER

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 10, TAMU 3 (14:51)

— Jalen Milroe finds Isaiah Bond for a 52-yard score.

— Max Johnson finds Ainias Smith open for a 34-yard gain to the UA 45.

— Justin Eboigbe and Chris Braswell with the sack to force 3rd and 13.

— Jalen Milroe was a little slow to get up after he’s sacked on 3rd and 8.

— Ainias Smith returns the Alabama punt 46 yards to the Tide’s 22.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 10, TAMU 10 (9:57)

— Max Johnson hits Jake Johnson for a 22-yard score.

— Alabama P James Burnip is in the locker room with a “lower-body injury,” per the CBS broadcast. Will Reichard will punt in his absence.

— Jaylen Key is flagged for PI on a 3rd and 8 pass that fell incomplete. Aggies catch a break and now have the ball at the Alabama 42.

— Malachi Moore needs help off the field, unable to put pressure on his right leg. He’s going into the tent.

— Terrion Arnold replaces Moore at Star. Trey Amos comes on at CB.

— James Burnip back on the sideline after a trip to the UA locker room.

TOUCHDOWN: TAMU 17, Alabama 10 (3:23)

— Le’Veon Moss with a 1-yard run to give A&M the lead.

— Malachi Moore taking a cart to the locker room with less than three minutes left to play in the first half.

— Jalen Milroe with back-to-back throws to Jermaine Burton (12, 21 yards), and UA is in A&M territory.

— Jalen Milroe is sacked for the fourth time in the first half and brings up 4th and 13. Will Reichard punts from his own 45 with 0:43 left in the 1H.

THIRD QUARTER

— Alabama’s offense opens the 3Q with a 12-yard throw and catch from Jalen Milroe to Amari Niblack.

— Malachi Moore has been ruled out with a lower-body extremity injury, according to the CBS broadcast.

— Jalen Milroe looks Amari Niblack’s way but is picked off. Texas A&M takes over at its own 35-yard line.

— Caleb Downs takes the ball right back with his second interception of the season. Alabama is back in business at the Aggies’ 39.

— Jase McClellan with a 15-yard run, the longest of the game thus far.

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 17, TAMU 17 (7:29)

— Jalen Milroe finds Jermaine Burton for a 15-yard score.

— Aggies elect to punt on 4th and 1 at their own 45, and the gunner can’t down it before it reaches the end zone. Alabama’s ball at the 20.

— Jalen Milroe dials up another deep shot for Jermaine Burton, who hauls in a 46-yard pass at the A&M 20. Burton is up to 167 yards and 1 TD on 7 receptions (23.9 ypc).

TOUCHDOWN: Alabama 24, TAMU 17 (0:22)

— Jalen Milroe finds Jermaine Burton again, this time for a 19-yard score to take the lead.

FOURTH QUARTER

— Alabama gets pressure on Max Johnson, but he’s able to complete the third-down pass to Le’Veon Moss, who gets free for a first down.

— Terrion Arnold with a nice PBU on 3rd and 6, and A&M will punt from its own 45 and 11:51 left to play.

— Jermaine Burton catches his ninth pass of the game, but he fumbles it. Aggies recover it at the Alabama 29 with 11:09 left in the game.

— Dallas Turner credited with a sack to bring up 3rd and 15 at the UA 34. Second sack of the game for the Crimson Tide defense.

— Alabama blocks the A&M field goal attempt, but the Chris Braswell TD is coming back due to a blindside block. Still, Tide gets the ball back at its own 37 with 8:55 left to play.

— Jalen Milroe goes over 300 passing yards for the first time in his college career. He’s up to 313 with eight minutes left in the game.

— That was the seventh and eighth false start penalties of the game on Alabama’s offense after Jaeden Roberts earns back-to-back flags.

*** Note: The final six minutes were watched from the field.

— Watched that Justin Eboigbe sack of Max Johnson for a safety on the elevator TV coming down from the press box. Alabama 26, Texas A&M 17

— After Texas A&M kicks a field goal to make it 26-20, the Aggies attempt an onside kick that Alabama recovers.
