TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — We’ve officially reached game week for the Alabama football team. The Crimson Tide are set to host Utah State for its season opener this Saturday. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m. CT (7:30 ET), and the game will air on the SEC Network.

As is the case every year around this time, Alabama released its first depth chart on Monday. We should note that any Nick Saban depth chart isn’t going to be 100 percent accurate as far as player usage or pecking order, but the release is revealing nonetheless.

Below, you’ll find the Week 1 depth chart.

Considering everything coming back, that decision makes sense. The Tide return the best offensive player (Bryce Young), defensive player (Will Anderson Jr.) and head coach (Saban) in all of college football. In addition, both coordinators are back along with one of — if not — the most talented rosters in the country.

There are still a few question marks, including at cornerback and wide receiver, that create at least some concern, but every team has unknowns heading into the season. Alabama’s unknowns at least have plenty of talented options. It’s more of a matter of determining who steps up.
