Alabama four-star 2022 DL Justice Finkley sets commitment date

Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville defensive end Justice Finkley will make his college choice this week between Bama, Texas and Colorado. The 2022 four-star prospect will announce on Sept. 9 at 5:15 p.m. ET at First Baptist Church in Trussville.
Finkley released his top three on July 4 and is now ready to make his pledge official.
Ranking No. 191 in the nation and No. 9 in the Yellowhammer State in the On300, Finkley is a high-priority target for the Tide.
The Longhorns and Buffs also want Finkley with equal fervor. The Alabama native is looking for a combination of high-quality football and education. He wants to pursue a degree in medicine in college.

All three programs had Finkley on campus this summer but the Crimson Tide hosted him twice, once in June and again in July for the Champions Cookout.
The 6-foot-2, 255-pound defensive lineman would be joining a DL class of six at Texas, three at Alabama and two at Colorado.

Despite six defensive line commits, sources indicate the Longhorns are still recruiting Finkley hard. The Buffs haven’t had a commit ranked in the top 200 since the 2020 recruiting class and he would be a major win.
Finkley would join five in-state prospects if he picked the Crimson Tide: Thompson edge Jeremiah Alexander, Geneva County running back Emmanuel Henderson, Williamson linebacker Robert Woodyard, Calera wide receiver Kobe Prentice and Anniston safety Antonio Kite.
At his size, Finkley is a versatile defensive lineman and can be molded to fit various schemes. In 2020, he posted 82 tackles, six tackles for loss and four sacks.
The senior is deciding Sept. 9 and then focusing on finishing the year strong before enrolling at his program of choice for the spring semester.
