Alabama guard Mark Sears named SEC Co-Player of the Week
Alabama men’s basketball guard Mark Sears has been named the SEC Co-Player of the Week, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday. This is Sears’ first career SEC Player of the Week honor, sharing the honor with Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht.

- Averaged 26.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists against South Carolina and Mississippi State
- Shot 64 percent from the field, 61.5 percent from three-point range and a perfect 13-13 from the free throw line
- Recorded his second 30-point game of the season with 31 points against South Carolina
- Scored double-figures in every game this season
- Leads in the SEC in scoring this season, averaging 20.3 points per game
- Scoring a league-best 24.7 points per game during SEC contests
