Alabama Football issued its final availability report before its matchup with Vanderbilt.

We learned Friday night that Crimson Tide wide receiver Kendrick Law would miss the SEC road opener due to a lower-body injury he sustained last week. Meanwhile, linebacker Justin Jefferson was listed as probable on the previous three availability reports but will be a game-time decision for Alabama’s contest against the Commodores in Nashville.

Law and Jefferson were two of a number of Alabama players who left last week’s game against Georgia with injuries, but they were the only two included on the availability report. Defensive back DeVonta Smith was just dealing with cramps, coach Kalen DeBoer said, while defensive lineman Tim Keenan was spotted practicing earlier in the game week.

The top-ranked Crimson Tide (4-0, 1-0 SEC) and Commodores (2-2, 0-1) are scheduled for a 3:15 p.m. CT kickoff at FirstBank Stadium. The game will be broadcast by the SEC Network.

In football, prior to a Saturday football game, an institution must issue the Initial Report on Wednesday by 7 p.m. CT and update the Availability Report once per day on Thursday and Friday (after the conclusion of practice and before 7 p.m.). These updated reports will be referred to as the “Thursday Update” and “Friday Update.”

On game day, an institution must provide one Game Day Update no later than 90 minutes before game time. On the Game Day Update, the only permissible designation statuses are:

• Available – Will dress for the game and be available to play

• Game Time Decision – Coaches and/or medical personnel need to evaluate the athlete in pre-game warmups before deciding whether he can participate in the game

• Out – Not dressing or available for the game
