Alabama Football issued its first availability report of the week on Wednesday evening.

The No. 7 Crimson Tide (5-1, 2-1 SEC) will travel to No. 11 Tennessee (5-1, 2-1) Saturday, Oct. 12, inside of Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee for a 2:45 p.m. CT kickoff on ABC.

Five Alabama players were featured on the availability report, including freshman linebacker Cayden Jones, who was the only Crimson Tide player who was ruled out for the contest. Jones has played in all six games this season as a special teams contributor and defensive reserve.

Cornerback Domani Jackson was carted off the field against South Carolina but was able to return to the game in the second half and sealed the win with a last-second interception.

Last week, wide receivers Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice and linebacker Yhonzae Pierre did not play in Alabama’s win over South Carolina. Law missed a second straight game because of injury, while Prentice and Pierre missed their first games of the season. All three were able to do some things in practice, and Kalen DeBoer offered positive updates on Wednesday.

“Right now, I would say they’re probable,” DeBoer said of the receivers. “Just continue to work through practices and feeling better and better about it, I think, each and every day.”

Of Pierre, he added, “He would be still up in the air right now. So probably probable to questionable, somewhere in there.”

Under the new rules, Alabama and Tennessee are required to update their availability reports on Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as 90 minutes before the game on Saturday.

SEC Availability Report Policies

Beginning with the 2024-25 athletics season, all Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in the sports of football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.

Prior to a Saturday football game, an institution must issue the Initial Report on Wednesday by 7 p.m. CT and update the Availability Report once per day on Thursday and Friday (after the conclusion of practice and before 7 p.m.). On game day, an institution must provide one Game Day Update no later than 90 minutes before game time.

Designated Participation Statuses

If an institution has knowledge that a student-athlete may not be able to participate in the upcoming game for any reason (including, but not limited to, injury, illness, suspension, ineligibility, or personal matter), the institution must accurately designate the student-athlete’s participation status on the Initial Report as follows:

– Out – Will not play / 0% chance to play

– Doubtful – Unlikely to play / 25% chance to play

– Questionable – Uncertain to play / 50% chance to play

– Probable – Probable to play / 75% chance to play
