Alabama lands commitment from Class of 2023 kicker
Alabama’s football program has finally added a piece on special teams to their 2023 class. After striking out on now Georgia commitment Peyton Woodring last month, the Crimson Tide have added a kicker to the fold.
On Wednesday, Chicago (IL.) St. Rita product Conor Talty announced his pledge to Alabama. He made his announcement in the following tweet.
“First off, I have to thank God,” Talty wrote. “Next, I want to thank my mom and dad for always believing in my dream and selflessly making so many sacrifices to help me succeed. I couldn’t have asked for better support in this journey.”
“Lastly, I’d like to thank all my coaches and teammates at St. Rita,” Talty continued. “With this being said, I’m 100 percent committed to the University of Alabama. #RollTide.”

According to Chris Sailer Kicking, Talty is a six-star prospect. This designation is given to players who are seen as an FBS Power 5 freshman year starter. He’s listed on his profile as a 6-foot-1, 195-pound recruit from an evaluation earlier this month.
Talty is not a familiar name to Alabama fans considering the timing of his offer. Coleman Hutzler just extended an offer to him two days ago, so this was a quick turnaround from offer to commitment.
Talty joins a 2023 class that is currently No. 4 on the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. He’s the fifth prospect to commit to the Crimson Tide this month alone.
