Alabama has added yet another coveted prospect to their 2025 class.

On Saturday, Nate Oats and his staff were rewarded with a commitment from West Hartford, Connecticut, product London Jemison. The St. Thomas More target chose the Tide over Kansas and Louisville. Syracuse, Vanderbilt, and Virginia were also in consideration at one time.

Jemison joins Wisconsin-based senior Amari Allen in this class. Allen committed to Bama over Minnesota back on Sept. 10. He previously told BamaOnLine that Jemison was one of the players he was actively recruiting to join him in Tuscaloosa.

“I am putting my trust in Nate Oats due to his proven success of winning and in developing players of my archetype,” Jemison told On3’s Joe Tipton of his decision. “He and the entire staff has made me feel very welcomed since they began recruiting me and my family got a very good chance to get to know him on my visit. I have known and trusted coach Preston Murphy and that helped my family and me ease into getting comfortable with everyone there.”

According to On3’s Industry Rankings, Jemison is the No. 38 overall player in the country. He checks in as the No. 9 power forward and the top-ranked senior in the state of Connecticut. He’s ranked no lower than No. 53 on each of the four recruiting rankings services.

Jemison collected an offer from the program in late May after an in-person evaluation. He took his official visit to Bama from Sept. 6-8, marking his first-ever trip to the school. He spent most of his visit around Alabama assistant Preston Murphy and head coach Nate Oats.

“I would say you can expect someone who is a winner and someone who is going to put on a Crimson Tide jersey every night trying to win,” Jemison said of his message to Bama fans. “Roll Tide!”

An interesting connection here is that Murphy briefly coached Jemison while coaching on the EYBL circuit. That relationship picked up again a few months ago, with Bama landing in Jemison’s top six in late July. Jemison has the utmost respect for Murphy in what he does with relationship building and how he coaches on the court.

Murphy’s and Oats’ message to him during his visit two weekends ago revolved around the program’s ability to develop players. The players echoed that same sentiment to Jemison in their time with him, while also highlighting the family aspect and playing style in Tuscaloosa.

“I definitely think they’re heading the right way,” Jemison previously said of the Tide. “They definitely have a great roster this year, so I think they can get back there. All the schools in my top five, they’re definitely great schools. Alabama, because that’s who we’re talking about, they’re definitely putting themselves in that company. Ever since Nate Oats has been there, they’ve been doing really well: Producing pros, winning, all of that.”

Amari Allen and London Jemison are the two sole members of Alabama’s 2025 class, but other targets remain in play. Those include a couple of prospects who have already officially visited in five-star point guard Mikel Brown (Jan. 14-16) and Davion Hannah (Aug. 30 – Sept. 1).
