Alabama linebacker Jeremiah Alexander has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reports. Alexander is the 18th Crimson Tide player to transfer in the winter window.

Alexander, a redshirt sophomore, played in 10 of Alabama’s 13 games this season and made five tackles. The in-state linebacker stepped in for starter Jihaad Campbell, who left the bowl game with an injury, and recorded one tackle in the 19-13 loss to Michigan in Tampa.

Alexander has played in 27 career games for the Crimson Tide, including all 14 in the 2023 season. Mostly a special teams contributor, Alexander registered nine career tackles in three years in Tuscaloosa. He appeared in three games in 2022, preserving his redshirt.

A native of Alabaster, Alabama, Alexander was a 5-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He was the nation’s No. 15 overall player and the No. 1 edge rusher and player from the state of Alabama. The Thompson High School star ultimately committed to the Tide over Clemson, Georgia and several other teams.
