Alabama-LSU Preview | Key matchups, O/U Jalen Milroe rushing yards
No. 11-ranked Alabama (6-2, 3-2 SEC) will travel to Baton Rouge to take on No. 15 LSU (6-2, 3-1) at Tiger Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 9. The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
This will be the 89th meeting between the Crimson Tide and Tigers, with the former holding the all-time series lead with a 59-27-5 mark, including a 29-10-2 record in Death Valley. UA won the latest matchup, 42-28, but fell the last time it was in Baton Rouge, 32-31. Kalen DeBoer has never faced LSU as a head coach – though he was on the opposing sideline as an assistant at Eastern Michigan in 2015. LSU’s Brian Kelly is 1-3 against Alabama.

Saturday’s matchup is a must-win game for both teams as the regular season begins to wind down. Alabama was among the top 12 teams in the initial College Football Playoff rankings earlier this week, but a loss would end its postseason hopes. LSU is currently on the outside looking in, but a win over UA would propel the Tigers into the playoff picture.
Both teams are coming off bye weeks, but Alabama enters its second open date after a shutout win over Missouri. Meanwhile, LSU lost to Texas A&M in Week 9.
