The Alabama men’s basketball team is now ranked No. 1 in the latest AP Poll. This development comes on the heels of the Crimson Tide winning both of their games last week, which included a 28-point home victory over Florida and an 8-point road win against rival Auburn.

This is the first time Alabama has ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll since the 2002-03 season.

The Crimson Tide’s record now sits at 22-3 (12-0 SEC), which has tied the best start in school history through the first 25 games. Only two of the 12 conference matchups have come within 10 points, too. This has easily been one of the best basketball teams we’ve ever seen in Tuscaloosa.

Below, we’ve got the entire AP rankings for the latest top 25.

Up next, Alabama will travel to Knoxville on Wednesday to take on No. 10 Tennessee (19-6, 8-4 SEC). The Vols have dropped three of their last four games, but this will still be one of the Crimson Tide’s toughest tests to date. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT (7 p.m. ET), and the game with air on ESPN 2.
