Alabama OL coach Scott Huff finalizes deal with Seahawks, per report
New Alabama offensive line coach Scott Huff has reportedly finalized a deal to join the Seattle Seahawks in the same role. According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Huff will return to Seattle with Ryan Grubb, who will be the Seahawks offensive coordinator, after brief stints on Kalen DeBoer’s staff in Tuscaloosa. But both are now headed to the NFL.
Huff spent the last two years on DeBoer’s staff and the last seven years at Washington as the Huskies’ offensive line coach. His 2023 group won the Joe Moore Award as the country’s top offensive line unit after only allowing 12 sacks in 15 games (0.8 per game), which was tied for the sixth-fewest in the nation, and giving quarterback Michael Penix Jr. time to operate in the pocket and put up the stellar passing numbers he did this past season at UW.
