Alabama fans now know where outside linebacker Will Anderson finished in the 2021 Heisman Trophy voting. On Thursday night, it was revealed that the sophomore was fifth, meaning he just missed out on a trip to New York.

Soon after the conclusion of the College Football Awards Show, there was an in-depth look at the players who finished Nos. 5-10 in the Heisman race.

Of the five other players named, Alabama has either played or will play three of them. That includes quarterbacks Matt Corral out of Ole Miss and Desmond Ridder out of Cincinnati, as well as Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Davis.

Here’s the actual order:

5. OLB Will Anderson, Alabama

6. RB Kenneth Walker, Michigan State

7. QB Matt Corral, Ole Miss

8. QB Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati

9. DT Jordan Davis, Georgia

10. RB Breece Hall, Iowa State

There are a lot of people out there who feel strongly about Anderson being snubbed out of attending the ceremony. With 91 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks through 13 games, the Georgia native has produced one of the best statistical seasons for a defensive player in college football history.

That being said, the Crimson Tide still have a good shot of seeing one of its own win the Heisman Trophy in sophomore quarterback Bryce Young.
