Alabama opens as betting favorite at Tennessee

No. 7 Alabama has a massive SEC matchup on deck this week against No. 11 Tennessee in Neyland Stadium. According to FanDuel, the Crimson Tide is a 2.5-point favorite against the Volunteers as of Sunday afternoon.

On the moneyline, Alabama is -130, while Tennessee is +108. The game’s over/under total is set at 55.5 points.

Alabama is 5-1 on the season and 2-1 in the SEC, coming off a tight 27-25 win over South Carolina. The Crimson Tide is 3-3 against the spread this season, and 2-3 as a favorite. Alabama failed to cover against South Florida, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina, all games in which it was a multi-score favorite.

Tennessee is also 5-1 on the season and 2-1 in SEC play through have its regular season games. The Volunteers are 4-2 against the spread on the season, failing to cover the last two weeks against Arkansas and Florida. This is the first game Tennessee has been an underdog in all season.

This will be the first time Alabama has been back to Neyland Stadium since the infamous 52-49 loss to the Volunteers in 2022 that snapped a 15-game win streak in the Third Saturday in October rivalry.
