Alabama redshirt junior quarterback Jalen Milroe has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

“Representing this university has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Milroe said in a statement shared on social media.

“Football has always been my passion, and since I was a kid, I dreamed of competing at the highest level. Through every win, every tough loss, and any criticism along the way, my love and dedication to this game has never wavered. Each day, my gratitude for the opportunity to play this sport I love only grows stronger.

“With that said, I am declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. Roll Tide forever!”

In his second season as the Crimson Tide’s starting quarterback, Milroe has thrown for 2,844 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 64.5 percent of his passes. He has also rushed for a team-high 726 yards and 20 touchdowns on 168 attempts.

In four seasons at Alabama, Milroe has appeared in 38 career games and made 26 starts. He has thrown for 6,016 yards, 45 touchdowns and 20 interceptions while completing 64 percent of his passes. The mobile quarterback has also rushed for 1,579 yards and 33 touchdowns on 375 rushing attempts. Milroe holds the single-season record for most rushing touchdowns by an Alabama quarterback (20), passing Jalen Hurts’ mark of 13 in 2016.

Milroe was Nick Saban’s final starting quarterback before his retirement and the first of Kalen DeBoer’s tenure as the Crimson Tide’s head coach. He led Alabama to back-to-back wins over Georgia, LSU and Auburn in his two full seasons as the Crimson Tide starter. Milroe earned a second-team All-SEC nod from the Associated Press in 2023 and was named the William V. Campbell Trophy winner – known as the academic Heisman – in 2024.

A native of Katy, Texas, Milroe enrolled at Alabama as a 4-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He was the nation’s No. 89 overall recruit and the No. 12 quarterback in his class. A former Texas commit, Milroe ultimately chose Alabama over the Longhorns, Texas A&M, Arizona, Florida and Oregon in that cycle.

The 2025 NFL Draft is set for Thursday, April 24, through Saturday, April 26, in Green Bay.
