Four Alabama football players were named to the 2024 Walter Camp Preseason All-American teams, the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced on Monday afternoon.

Crimson Tide offensive lineman Tyler Booker and placekicker Graham Nicholson were named to the first team, while offensive lineman Parker Brailsford and punter James Burnip were selected to the second team. A transfer from Miami (Ohio), Nicholson earned first-team All-America honors last year in addition to being named the Lou Groza Award winner.

Nicholson is one of two transfers who joined the Alabama football program this offseason and are expected to make an immediate impact. The other is Brailsford, who followed head coach Kalen DeBoer to Tuscaloosa and is slated to start at center for the Crimson Tide.

Booker was Alabama’s starting left guard last season and is back as one of the top leaders on the offensive line for the Tide as a junior. Burnip finished his third season at Alabama with the nation’s fifth-best percentage on punts, averaging 47.56 yards per boot in 2023.

The Walter Camp Foundation is one of five outlets used to determine consensus All-American status, along with the Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, American Football Coaches Association and Sporting News. Announced in December, the Walter Camp All-America teams are selected by coaches and sports information directors.
