Alabama remains atop latest Coaches Poll rankings after Week 1
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Alabama football team (1-0, 0-0 SEC) held the top spot in the latest edition of the Coaches Poll, which came out on Tuesday following the first week of college football games. The Crimson Tide defeated Utah State 55-0 in the season opener to start the year hot under head coach Nick Saban.
We also found out with the latest rankings that Alabama’s Week 2 opponent, the Texas Longhorns, are now in the top 25 (No. 22) after soundly defeating Louisiana-Monroe in the season opener 55-10. That should make for an interesting conversation leading up to Saturday.
