Alabama basketball rose one spot in this week’s AP Poll, jumping from No. 5 to No. 4 following a 2-0 week that featured road wins at South Carolina and then-No. 10 Texas A&M.

The Crimson Tide continues to have one of the strongest resumes in the sport, boasting wins over three currently ranked teams in Houston, Illinois and Texas A&M. Alabama’s two losses are still both to ranked teams in Oregon and Purdue.

The SEC’s dominance this basketball season continues to show in this recent poll, with the top 25 featuring nine teams from the league. Those teams include No. 1 Auburn, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Florida, No. 6 Tennessee, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 11 Texas A&M, No. 15 Mississippi State, No. 21 Ole Miss and No. 23 Georgia.

Alabama has two ranked opponents on deck this week, hosting No. 21 Ole Miss on Tuesday night and traveling to No. 8 Kentucky on Saturday.
