Alabama Signing Day Capsule: Five-star EDGE Keon Keeley
It did not take long for five-star EDGE Keon Keeley to officially honor his commitment to Alabama.
The coveted pass rusher out of Florida signed with the Crimson Tide on Wednesday. This signing comes nine days after Keeley committed to Bama over Florida, Ohio State, and others.

Keeley was, at one time, a member of Notre Dame’s 2023 class, with that commitment coming in June 2021. Following a visit to Tuscaloosa this past July, however, Keeley backed off his pledge to the Fighting Irish on Aug. 17, 2022.
In September, Keeley took an unofficial visit to Florida and multiple trips (one official and one unofficial) to Ohio State. Keeley became Alabama’s to lose after he officially visited the school in October before returning for the Iron Bowl on Nov. 26.
The Sunshine State native is set to join the Crimson Tide in the summer as his school does not allow early graduations.

“It’s a great opportunity to go play, and you look at the track record of the outside linebacker position, they’ve had a bunch of guys drafted in the past five years. Alabama is Alabama, and I just felt like, ‘Why not ‘Bama?’ It’s a rare opportunity, and I’m blessed to be able to have it.”

Berkeley Prep head coach, Dominick Ciao, on Keeley’s skill set (Full Story HERE): “He has tremendous upside. He’s a great player. He’s been a tremendous pass rusher and has made a bunch of plays for us. He has led us the last few years to have some great games and great seasons.
“I just think that he can do so many things. He can use his speed. Can flat out rush and has a relentless urge to get to the quarterback. He does a lot of things well. He’s got to learn a lot of things to play at the next level. Has a chance to be an elite player.”
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power’s analysis of Keeley (Full Story HERE): “He affects plays in multiple ways… Keeley finishes in the back field at a really high rate, and I think that’s where he separates himself. He’s really physical, explosive, and also has high effort level on every snap. I think he has a pretty complete package from that perspective. Very strong. Quick off the ball.
“I think he’s made some advancements technically. Stringing together some moves. He has also developed a spin move. Has the ability to convert speed to power. I think he’ll be ready to contribute as a freshman. In terms of his ability and where he’s at in his development, I think he’ll be ready to play early and make an impact.”
