Alabama Signing Day Capsule: Oklahoma-based WR Cole Adams
On June 29, Owasso (Okla.) product Cole Adams spurned the in-state Oklahoma Sooners for Alabama. Moments ago, the four-star wide receiver made his commitment official by signing his Letter of Intent with the program.
Unfortunately, Adams did not get much of an opportunity to show off his skill set this season. In the first game of his senior campaign, Adams tore some ligaments in his AC joint area and had a severe Grade 5 sprain. That injury, which occurred during a seven-reception, 132-yard first half, kept him out the rest of the year.

Even so, Adams kept up with how Alabama did throughout the fall. He had the following to say about the football team’s 20-19 road win over Texas in September.
“No matter the situation, no matter the score or the time on the clock, your body language can decide the last couple of possessions of the game!” Adams told us after the Texas game. “And that’s what happened today. Everything is not always going to go your way. That’s football. What matters is how you come back and keep fighting! RTR!”
Adams, who is expected to be fully recovered by the time spring practice starts, will early enroll at Alabama.

Future Alabama WR Cole Adams‘ Signing Profile
Name: Cole Adams
Position: Wide Receiver
Height/Weight: 5-foot-10, 175 pounds
High school and hometown: Owasso High/Owasso (Okla.)
On3 Consensus Rankings: No. 266 overall/No. 34 wide receiver/No. 5 in Oklahoma
Why Adams chose Alabama (Full Story HERE): “Not only is the football program great, but everything around is as well. On the visit, I fell in love with Alabama… Not only the football part of it, you know they will win a national championship, but I saw what was behind that. I learned about the people, the academics, the opportunity for community service, and all that was perfect. It checked every box.”
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power’s analysis of Adams (Full Story HERE): “Cole Adams brings some explosive ability to Alabama’s offense and special teams. I view him as being a weapon as a slot receiver and in the return game. If you look at the skill set that he brings to the table, he has both long speed and quickness as a receiver. I think he’s good with the ball in his hands, obviously. He’s got some spacial awareness, he can make defenders miss in space. The long speed checks out with his track times. He’s consistently run sub-11 seconds in the 100 meters, getting as far down as maybe a 10.6 as a sophomore. So, the speed checks out.”
