Jefferson, who has been a Tennessee baseball commitment since his freshman year, has the option to play both sports in Tuscaloosa.

–KJ Bolden will also announce a decision on Saturday. The five-star safety from Buford (Ga.) took an official visit with Alabama on June 23-25. Alabama is not on the short list heading into the decision. The finalists are Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and Ohio State.
August 6
- Nathaniel Frazier, five-star RB, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)
Frazier has been one of Alabama’s top overall targets in this cycle. He will reveal a college destination on Sunday. The finalists are Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and Texas A&M. Alabama signed two of the top four running backs in the country in the ’23 class, Justice Haynes and Richard Young. Only a few major targets at the position in this cycle with Frazier on the short list.
The nation’s top running back visited Alabama for the first time in early April. He returned for an official visit on June 23-25. His teammate, Zabien Brown, announced his commitment to Alabama July 9. Georgia is viewed by many as the favorite heading into the decision, but contact has remained frequent with Alabama up to this point. The choice is expected to come down between the two schools.

- Eddrick Houston, five-star DL, Buford HS (Ga.)
Houston will announce a decision in three weeks. Alabama is hoping for great news for one of its long-time priority targets. He has visited Alabama several times including his final official visit on June 23-25. He considered a return to Tuscaloosa this past weekend- a few other schools hoped he would visit, but Houston remained at home.
The 6-foot-4, 278-pound lineman has a top five of Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and USC. The Buckeyes are currently considered the heavy favorite per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Alabama is possibly the main competition. Alabama has two DL commitments. There are other options, but none with the amount of attention given to Houston. Alabama is a threat to pull this off.

- Daniel Hill, four-star RB, Meridian HS (Miss.)
Hill has visited Alabama probably more than most commitments. He visited Alabama four times this summer including three unofficial visits and an official. He attended the Champions Cook-Out this past past weekend. His family also prefers to see him in Tuscaloosa, per Hill. It appears Alabama is the heavy favorite to add his commitment later this month.
South Carolina, however, is a major threat to the Crimson Tide. Some believe the Gamecocks are the favorite. Hill told BOL on Monday his recruitment is down to Alabama and South Carolina.(On3+) Alabama does not have any running back commitments to this point. (Nate) Frazier announces on Sunday. A decision from Frazier could potentially play a factor in Hill’s decision.
Other potential decisions this month
- Peyton Wooydard, the No. 4 safety per the On3 Industry Ranking, has yet to reveal when he will announce a ‘final’ decision. The UGA commitment did not take any visits last week. He took official visits to Alabama, UGA, Ohio State and USC in June. A potential flip possibly not far away, but UGA may not let Woodyard go away easily especially if it misses on KJ Bolden.
- Alabama extended an offer a week ago to Dre Kirkpatrick Jr..The Alabama legacy told BOL last week that he expects to announce a decision before the end of August. A decision date has not been set. Coach Saban was impressed with the 5-foot-10.5, 198-pound safety during the final summer camp.
- Top 100 safety Zay Mincey told BOL last week that he will announce a decision in late August or early September. Mincey took an unofficial visit to Alabama last month, and he said will return for an official visit this fall. He visited Miami this past weekend. The choice will likely come down between Alabama, Florida and Miami.
- Favour Edwin, a three-star OL from Georgia, is also expected to announce a decision in late August or early September. Edwin will play in his first live high school football game later this month. More on Edwin after his visit to Alabama this past weekend- HERE
- Alabama has five commitments in the ’25 class. A few others are possibly close to announcing decisions, though dates have not been set. A few players BOL will monitor closely include George MacIntyre, No. 2 QB from Brentwood Academy in Nashville and Antonio Coleman, four-star DL from Saraland (Ala.).
