Alabama updates depth chart ahead of Week 12 home game vs. Mercer
Alabama made a few changes to its depth chart before its home game against Mercer.
With Que Robinson set to miss the remainder of the Crimson Tide’s 2024 season due to injury, as well as Keanu Koht being suspended for an undisclosed amount of time, Alabama now lists Qua Russaw and Yhonzae Pierre as its first- and second-team Wolf linebackers.
“I’ve got a lot of confidence in some of our younger players that I think have stepped up in that position already,” said Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack. “Qua Russaw and Yhonzae Pierre’s doing a really good job, starting to get a little bit more out of him. Those guys are excited for the challenge, next man up mentality. As the season goes on, these are the defining moments. Do players step up in the moment when they’re needed?
“And ultimately, that will determine our success here on the back end season.”
Robinson is the latest player who will miss time because of injury. Safety Keon Sabb and wide receiver/punt return Cole Adams aren’t listed on the depth chart. The Tide removed Adams prior to the LSU game due to his season-ending setback suffered against Missouri.
