Alabama updates roster with new numbers for early enrollees, transfers
Last week, the Alabama football team updated its roster with the addition of the 13 early enrollees and the three players brought in from the transfer portal. That update included everything — names, height, weight, hometown, etc. — except one thing: jersey numbers for the new arrivals.
On Friday, the Crimson Tide released a second update ahead of the first practice of the spring.
Now, new jersey numbers are included. Below we’ve got a list of which number each of the 16 new additions will wear this spring. It’s still possible for a few number swaps, but most of these players will stick with what they’ve got.
Numbers for Alabama’s Early Enrollees
- No. 3 – Jermaine Burton, Wide Receiver
- No. 7 – Eli Ricks, Cornerback
- No. 13 – Jahmyr Gibbs, Running Back
- No. 15 – Ty Simpson, Quarterback
- No. 22 – Trequon Fegans, Defensive Back
- No. 26 – Jamarion Miller, Running Back
- No. 30 – Jihaad Campbell, Linebacker
- No. 35 – Jeremiah Alexander, Linebacker
- No. 43 – Shawn Murphy, Linebacker
- No. 54 – Tyler Booker, Offensive Line
- No. 75 – Dayne Shor, Offensive Line
- No. 82 – Aaron Anderson, Wide Receiver
- No. 83 – Kendrick Law, Wide Receiver
- No. 85 – Elijah Brown, Tight End
- No. 91 – Jaheim Oatis, Defensive Line
- No. 97 – Khurtiss Perry, Defensive Line
In addition, second-year safety Kaine Williams has changed his jersey from No. 49 to No. 20. The Marrero (La.) John Ehret product didn’t see any snaps during his freshman season, and we might not see much change on that front for the former four-star in Year 2.
