NEWARK, N.J. – No. 2-seed Alabama (27-8, 13-5 SEC) will face 6-seed BYU (26-9, 14-6 Big 12) in the Sweet 16 of the 2025 NCAA Tournament tonight. The Crimson Tide and Cougars will face off at 6:09 p.m. CT inside Prudential Center. The matchup will air live on CBS.

Alabama opened this year’s NCAA Tournament with a 90-81 win over 15-seed Robert Morris last Friday in Cleveland and defeated 7-seed Saint Mary’s, 80-66, in the Round of 32 two days later to advance to the Sweet 16. BYU beat 11-seed VCU in Round 1, 80-71, and then upset 3-seed Wisconsin, 91-89, on Saturday before making the trip to New Jersey.

Alabama and BYU have met twice before on the hardwood, with the Tide claiming a 2-0 edge in the all-time series. The teams last met on Nov. 24, 2017, where UA was victorious, 71-59.

Alabama has reached the Sweet 16 three years in a row and four of the last five. A win over BYU would propel the Tide to back-to-back Elite Eights for the first time in program history.
