LSU’s offense found a rhythm to begin the second half. Garrett Nussmeier scrambled for 14 yards on 3rd and 4 to keep the drive alive early. Then the Tigers moved the chains on a pair of fourth-down tries, the second being a Nussmeier pass to Mason Taylor to the Alabama 26. But the offense made another big play, as Deontae Lawson picked off Nussmeier at the goal line for a touchback.

The Tide did, however, see two starters leave the game with injuries. Que Robinson exited with a forearm injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. DeVonta Smith also walked off gingerly and was replaced at the Husky position by DaShawn Jones.

Jalen Milroe picked up all 32 of the yards on his own, rushing for 22 yards and then a 10-yard touchdown. The latter gave Milroe the school’s single-season record for most rushing scores by a quarterback.

Veteran linebacker didn’t the trip

11/09/2024 06:16:04 PM

Alabama linebacker Keanu Koht was one of 11 scholarship players who did not make the team’s travel roster. Outside of injured players like Keon Sabb, Cole Adams and Jalen Hale, Koht was the only player not in his first or second year who did not travel. Koht also did not play in the Crimson Tide’s Week 8 trip to Tennessee.
