Alabama vs. Mississippi State: Live updates, score, highlights

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 6 Alabama (22-5, 11-3 SEC) will welcome No. 24 Mississippi State (19-8, 7-7) to Coleman Coliseum tonight for a conference matchup. The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs will square off at 8 p.m. CT, and the SEC game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
This will mark the second time this season that Alabama and Miss. State will meet on the hardwood. They last faced one another on Wednesday, January 29, in Starkville, Mississippi, and the Tide came out on top, 88-85. In that meeting, Chris Youngblood scored 23 points on 7-10 shooting from 3. But Alabama allowed Josh Hubbard to put up a career-high 38 points.

The Bulldogs are the fourth straight opponent ranked among the top 25 that the Tide has faced in February. There are three teams among the nation’s top five still left on Alabama’s schedule to end the regular season (No. 5 Tennessee, No. 3 Florida and No. 1 Auburn).

Nelson removed from availability report
02/25/2025 06:51:25 PMSenior guards Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (Achilles) and Houston Mallette (knees) and freshman forward Derrion Reid (hamstring) were ruled out and will not play against the Bulldogs.
But senior forward Grant Nelson was also included on Monday’s initial availability report with an undisclosed issue, listed as probable for the home game at Coleman Coliseum. On the final availability report on Tuesday evening, Nelson’s name was removed altogether.
That means the 6-foot-11, 230-pound forward will play against Mississippi State.
