Alabama vs. Oklahoma: Live updates, score, highlights
NORMAN, Okla. – No. 7 Alabama (8-2, 4-2 SEC) will take on Oklahoma (5-5, 1-5) at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium tonight at 6:44 p.m. CT. The game will air on ABC.
The Crimson Tide and Sooners will meet for just the seventh time in the series history, with OU owning the all-time advantage, 3-2-1, including a 2-0 mark in regular-season play and a 1-0 record in Norman. Alabama came out on top, 45-34, in the most recent pairing on Dec. 29, 2018, in the College Football Playoff Semifinal played at the Orange Bowl.

11/23/2024 08:34:09 PMAlabama had a promising start to the second half, but it quickly soured. Eli Bown picked off Jalen Milroe on an attempted screen pass and returned it 25 yards to the Tide 14. Oklahoma needed five plays but was able to get in the end zone for a second time on Xavier Robinson’s second rushing touchdown (1 yard).

11/23/2024 08:08:39 PMOklahoma ran the ball 10 times on a 12-play scoring drive and have rushed for 205 in the first two quarters of play. The last rushing attempt was an 18-yard touchdown by Xavier Robinson to give the Sooners a lead before the second quarter expired.

Lawson ruled out for rest of the night
11/23/2024 08:04:40 PMAlabama linebacker Deontae Lawson left the Oklahoma game in the second quarter and gingerly walked to the visiting team locker room before the first half expired. Lawson was ruled out with a lower-extremity injury, according to a UA spokesperson.
Tide LB exits game; OU ties things up
11/23/2024 07:44:45 PMSooners converted on 3rd and 5 and moved to the Alabama 39. It was OU’s first third-down conversion of the game. Tide linebacker Deontae Lawson went down to a knee after making a tackle for no gain, and he left the field with trainers under each arm. He seemed to be favoring his leg. Six plays later, the UA defense held again and Schmit attempted a 29-yard field goal. This one was good.

Sooners miss a chance to tie the game
11/23/2024 07:26:19 PMOklahoma marched down the field to the Alabama 21, and the Sooners appeared set to take a 6-3 lead, but a double pass attempt was dropped, leading to a field goal attempt. But Zach Schmit missed a 39-yard attempt, giving the ball back to the Crimson Tide at its own 21.
Nicholson gives Alabama an early lead
11/23/2024 07:26:01 PMBray Hubbard forced an Oklahoma fumble that was recovered by Deontae Lawson at the Alabama 21. It appeared as though the Tide would waste the opportunity, but Jalen Milroe hit Germie Bernard over the middle for a 32-yard gain on 3rd and 16. Alabama made another big play on 3rd and 10 as Milroe hit Ryan Williams for what initially looked like a touchdown, but officials ruled he stepped out of bounds at the Oklahoma 11. UA was unable to find the end zone on three straight runs and, after a timeout, sent Graham Nicholson out for a 22-yard field goal.

Teams exchange punts to start the game
11/23/2024 07:25:32 PMJackson Arnold picked up 12 yards on Oklahoma’s first offensive snap, but that was the only first first down for either team on their first two possessions. The Sooners punted four plays later, with Ryan Williams fielding and returning it eight yards to the Alabama 25. Jalen Milroe picked up one yard on first and second down each, but his third-down pass sailed through Williams’ hands.

Couple of notes from pregame warmups
11/23/2024 06:07:10 PM– Defensive lineman Jah-Marien Latham was warming up with the Wolf linebackers. Latham had been at Bandit all season, but with Que Robinson’s injury and Keanu Koht’s departure, he could be switching roles.
– After not playing in the Mercer game, right guard Jaeden Roberts went through warmups with the first-team offensive line. Roberts was held out last week as a precaution and looks ready to go in Norman.
