Alabama’s SEC opener against Ole Miss on Saturday, Sept. 23, will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and air live on CBS, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday.

The Crimson Tide and Rebels will meet for the 71st overall time in two weeks. Alabama leads the all-time series with Ole Miss, 58-10-2, and has won seven straight games after defeating the Rebels, 30-24, last year in Oxford, Miss, as well as in 2021 by a score of 42-21 in Tuscaloosa. The 2023 matchup will also be played on UA’s home field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban is 18-3 all-time in games against Ole Miss, including 14-2 during his tenure at Alabama. Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin, a former assistant for the Crimson Tide, is now 0-4 against his old team with one loss at Tennessee and three at Ole Miss. Saban is now 28-3 in games against his former staffers but is off to a 0-1 start this season.

This year, the Rebels are off to a 2-0 start to the 2023 campaign. Ole Miss opened the season by decimating Mercer, 73-7, in Oxford. This past weekend, the Rebels went on the road to take on a ranked Tulane team and defeated the No. 22 Green Wave, 37-20, in New Orleans. In this week’s AP Top 25 Poll, Ole Miss checked in at No. 17, up three spots from last week.
