TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 4 Alabama (15-3, 4-1 SEC) will welcome Vanderbilt (15-3, 3-2) to Coleman Coliseum for a clash between 15-3 teams. The Crimson Tide and Commodores will face off at 6 p.m. CT, and the SEC matchup will be broadcast live on the SEC Network.

Since Nate Oats arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2019-20, Alabama has won a league-best 66 games during SEC play. The Crimson Tide enters tonight’s matchup boasting the No. 1 scoring offense in the country, averaging 90.2 points per game. Senior guard Mark Sears is 11 points away from becoming the 81st player in Division I history to score 2,500 career points.

Vanderbilt started the 2024-25 season at 12-1, which produced the best 13-game start under a first-year head coach in program history (Mark Byington). The Commodores average 10.2 steals per game, which ranks No. 7 in the nation and No. 2 in the SEC. According to Evan Miyakawa, Vandy acquired the second-ranked transfer portal class, signing 11 players.

Senior guards Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (Achilles) and Houston Mallette (knees) were both listed as out and will not play against the Commodores. Alabama freshman forward Derrion Reid, listed as questionable on yesterday’s initial report, is also out with a lower-body injury.
