Alabama vs. Western Kentucky: Kickoff time, TV channel announced
Alabama’s 2024 season opener now has a kickoff time and television channel.
The Crimson Tide’s Week 1 matchup against Western Kentucky on Saturday, Aug. 31, will kick off at 6 p.m. CT and will air on ESPN, it was announced Tuesday morning. The first game of the Kalen DeBoer era at Alabama will kick off under the light at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
This will mark the fourth meeting between the Tide and Hilltoppers. Alabama is 3-0 in the past three matchups and won the most recent in 2016, 38-10, in Tuscaloosa. Western Kentucky is coming off an 8-5 (5-3 C-USA) record and beat Old Dominion in its bowl game.

The matchup with WKU is now the third game on Alabama’s 2024 football schedule with a kick time and television channel, joining the Week 3 road trip to Wisconsin (11 a.m. CT on FOX) and the highly-anticipated Week 5 home game against Georgia (6:30 p.m. on ABC).
