Alabama WR Amari Jefferson enters transfer portal
Alabama wide receiver Amari Jefferson has entered the transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reported on Thursday.
Jefferson was a true freshman that redshirted during the 2024 season, not appearing in a single game. As a recruit, the 5-foot-11 Chattanooga native was the No. 204 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle, and the No. 34 wide receiver in the class.
Jefferson is the sixth Alabama wide receiver to enter the transfer portal this cycle, and the second in as many days after Jaren Hamilton entered the portal yesterday. Jefferson and Hamilton are the only two players to enter the portal from Alabama since the Crimson Tide’s loss to Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Alabama will return a number of key contributors at receiver next season, including Ryan Williams. Germie Bernard still has an NFL Draft decision to make.
The NCAA transfer portal’s 20-day window closed on Dec. 28, but is extended for five days for any team whose season ended after the initial closing of the window. A second, but brief, 10-day window will open from April 16-25.
