Alabama WR Emmanuel Henderson plans to enter transfer portal
Alabama wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson plans to enter the transfer portal, becoming the 13th Crimson Tide player to transfer during the 20-day winter window.
Henderson came to Alabama as the No. 3 athlete in the 2022 recruiting cycle. He was an in-state recruit from Hartford, Alabama, ranking as the No. 2 player in the state and the No. 44 overall player in the class.
At Alabama, he played running back his first year before transitioning to wide receiver. He spent his first season playing mostly special teams before making the transition out wide. He made four catches for 82 yards this past season, catching one pass in four different games.

Henderson will have one year of eligibility remaining at his next school.
Alabama has now had four different wide receivers enter the transfer portal, with Henderson joining Kobe Prentice, Caleb Odom and Kendrick Law. Because of injuries and transfer portal departures, Alabama is down to just four wide receivers available for the ReliaQuest Bowl on Dec. 31.
The 20-day portal window opened on Monday, December 9, and will close on Saturday, December 28. Due to a later bowl game, Alabama players will have five extra days to enter.
