Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams was named to the Football Writers Association of America’s 2024 Freshman All-America Team, it was announced on Wednesday.

Playing in, and starting, all 13 games during the Crimson Tide’s 2024 season, Williams finished his freshman year with 865 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 48 receptions. He is tied for the fourth-most receiving scores in the SEC in Year 1 and also ranked eighth in the league in yards per catch (18.02) and 10th in receiving yards per game (66.5).

During his rookie year, Williams also contributed in the run game and on special teams. The Saraland, Alabama native added 48 rushing yards on four attempts with two touchdowns and 10 punt returns for 120 yards to go with two kickoff returns for a combined 14 yards.

Williams was previously recognized as a second-team All-America by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). The former 5-star recruit also earned first-team All-Southeastern Conference and Freshman All-SEC accolades by the league coaches, in addition to being named a second-teamer on the league list by the Associated Press.
