Last year, Alabama's defense was good. It wasn't great, and it certainly wasn't to the elite standard. But it was good. The Crimson Tide ranked No. 32 in total yards allowed per game, giving up 352.3 yards (113.1 rushing, 239.2 passing). They also ranked No. 13 in scoring defense, allowing 19.4 points per game.
