Andrew Bone Joins On3 Sports Recruiting Network
It is always interesting, to those of us in the college football recruiting/team coverage industry, to see others launch company websites covering sports. We all know it’s a different story when Shannon Terry starts a new endeavor. I watched as some of the best in our industry joined his company on the ground floor. I have been very fortunate throughout my career to join other networks (2), but was not thinking of making another move.
Ten years ago, Eric Winter (former head of Rivals), approached me about leaving Scout (employed nine years) to join the Rivals network as the recruiting analyst for Alabama which at the time was TideSports/Tuscaloosa News.
Kyle Henderson and I joined forces on the Rivals network and helped grow the website into a beast in the Alabama market. Our BamaInsider YouTube channel has grown to almost 80K subscribers.
There is a lot of excitement about the future at On3. Shannon Terry is the titan in the recruiting industry with the creation of the previous sites (Rivals, 247Sports) and now On3. His vision, direction, and leadership were the essential reasons why I was excited to receive his offer to join the best team/network in the country.
