The Alabama men’s basketball team has won five straight games, most recently defeating the Georgia Bulldogs at home, to reach 19-3 (8-1 SEC) at the halfway mark of league play.
On Saturday, Feb. 1, the Crimson Tide beat the Bulldogs, 90-69, in a lopsided win at Coleman Coliseum. After three straight games with separate issues, Alabama handled its business on its home floor. The Tide won by 21 points despite turning it over 20 times, but the veterans cut down on the mistakes during the second half to record a win of 20-plus points.
The nation’s No. 3-ranked team did not have a midweek game, as its open date occurred in the middle of its conference slate. Nate Oats did, however, speak in Birmingham on Monday, and discussed a variety of topics, including the progress of true freshman Naas Cunningham, who is redshirting this year. Cunningham is one of three players planning to do so.
