The Alabama men’s basketball team is coming off back-to-back wins over then-No. 8 Kentucky and Vanderbilt, which saw strong showings from multiple Crimson Tide players.

In the road win over the Wildcats last Saturday, Alabama bounced back behind an impressive outing from Grant Nelson, who recorded a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. In the home win over the Commodores, three Crimson Tide players scored 20 or more points, including 22 points apiece from bench players Aden Holloway and Mouhamed Dioubate.

We discuss it in the show, but Holloway is starting to hit his stride in conference play, scoring double figures in seven of his last eight games. Fifth-year senior guard Mark Sears has also scored at a high clip, finishing with 20 or more points in six of his last seven, including 21 on Tuesday versus Vanderbilt, which gave him 2,500 points for his career.

Alabama (16-3, 5-1 SEC)l turns its attention to an LSU team that limps into a road game at Coleman Coliseum with a 12-6 (1-4) record. BamaOnLine staff members Charlie Potter, Tim Watts and Blake Byler share their thoughts on the last two wins and the game against the Tigers, which is scheduled for Saturday, January 25 (7:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network).

The Alabama-related topics discussed by the guys include:

– Thoughts on the Kentucky win

– Thoughts on the Vanderbilt win

– Holloway is starting to heat up

– Do we talk enough about Sears?

– Surprise player for Alabama

– Looking ahead to the LSU game
