It has been a week to remember for Alabama fans. And it’s still only Wednesday.

On Monday, news broke of former five-star signee Jaylen Mbakwe revealing his plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. This was a big shock as Mbakwe was Bama’s longest-tenured commit in the 2024 cycle, an Alabama native, and viewed as a key piece for the future. But, however, Mbakwe never officially entered the portal, and announced on Tuesday that he’s not leaving Alabama.

“Here to stay,” Mbakwe told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The portal has been busy as expected, with tight end Danny Lewis previously entering the portal but then withdrawing his name earlier this week. Bama has also played host to a handful of visitors, including a couple of players on Tuesday. They’re expected to get more transfer portal players on campus this week.
