Alabama’s football program will be searching for answers after what transpired on Saturday.

One week after defeating the Georgia Bulldogs at home and rising to No. 1 in the AP Poll, the Crimson Tide fell on the road at Vanderbilt on Saturday. Alabama’s defense could not get off the field as Vanderbilt controlled the time of possession battle by 25 minutes. That was due, in large part, to the Commodores going 12-of-18 on third downs.

The Bama offense put up 35 points, but had a couple of costly turnovers, including a pick-six that put Vanderbilt up 13-0 in the first quarter.

After the game, BamaOnLine’s staff shared our instant analysis of the stunning result in Nashville. BOL’s Tim Watts, Andrew Bone, Jimmy Stein, and Joseph Hastings talked about the Tide’s 35-40 loss, as well as discussing their upcoming games against South Carolina (Oct. 12) and at Tennessee (Oct. 19).
