BOL Live Show: Instant Analysis of Alabama's Blowout of LSU
The Alabama Crimson Tide’s football team was on a mission on Saturday.
In essentially what was as close to a do-or-die game as you can get, Bama marched into Baton Rouge and took care of the LSU Tigers. Alabama put together arguably their most complete game of the season, all circumstances considered.
The Tide offense was led by star quarterback Jalen Milroe, who did whatever he wanted to do on Saturday night. Milroe rushed for 185 yards on 12 carries (15.4 yards per rush) and four touchdowns on the ground. He also completed 12 of 18 passes for 109 yards for a Quarterback Rating of 99.3. Bama’s running backs were involved as well, with four of them getting carries in their 42-13 victory.

On the other side of the ball, the Kane Wommack-led defense rose to the occasion. Alabama held LSU to no touchdowns until the final seconds when the game was well out of reach. The Tide forced three turnovers against LSU, which led to 21 points for DeBoer’s team. It was the Tigers’ worst loss since Bama beat them 55-17 in 2020.
