BOL Live Show: Instant analysis of Alabama's win over No. 2 Georgia
There have already been a lot of firsts for Kalen DeBoer as Alabama’s head coach. On Aug. 31, he picked up his first win with the Crimson Tide with a 63-0 victory over Western Kentucky. He then got his first road win at Wisconsin two weeks later.
On Saturday, DeBoer got his first statement win at Bama over the No. 2-ranked Georgia Bulldogs. Alabama got off to scorching hot start, going up 28-0 early in the second quarter after scoring touchdowns on each of their first four possessions. Alabama would take a 30-7 lead into half, with Jalen Milroe accounting for 305 yards and three total touchdowns in the first two quarters.

UGA wouldn’t go away, however, as they outscored the Tide 27-11 in the second half. Bama recorded 192 yards of total offense in the third and fourth quarters after gaining 355 total yards in the first 30 minutes. Georgia ended up taking a 34-33 lead late in the fourth quarter, but Alabama quickly responded with a one-play, 75-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Williams. Fellow true freshman Zabien Brown ended the game with an interception after Georgia marched down to the red zone.
